Our patients have found Porcelain Veneers to be the most successful way to improve their smiles. Porcelain Veneers (sometimes also referred to as Laminates) are a more permanent means to improve and whiten your smile. Veneers can be used to straighten teeth and close spaces between teeth. Veneers make a dramatic and immediate transformation of your smile, making patients look much younger. With new techniques and materials, Porcelain Veneers require the removal of minimal tooth structure to make space for the wafer-thin shells of porcelain. They are custom fabricated by the dental laboratory’s Master Technician. Each Veneer is made to slip naturally over the front surface of the tooth and once bonded becomes very strong and durable. Veneers look and act like natural tooth enamel; and reflect light in much the same way tooth enamel does. Veneers are also highly resistant to staining and fracturing. Usually three appointments are required; at the first appointment
photographs and impressions are taken and the details of the smile
are discussed. Then the teeth are prepared and temporaries are placed.
Ten days later the Veneers are bonded permanently to the teeth. |
