Intra Oral Magnification

Working in a small field, such as the mouth, and looking at small objects, like teeth, requires exceptional visual accuracy. Dr. Klug uses custom made surgical lenses with magnification powers of 3.5 and 6.5 times that of the naked eye.

The high level of magnification allows the dentist to see fine details that are not visible to the unaided eye resulting in more precise and accurate technical work.

Intra-Oral Photography

With the help of Intra-Oral cameras patients are afforded an enlarged view of their teeth and gums as well as new and old dental restorations. The camera is about the size of a large pen and with it we are able to enlarge images by up to 25 times. This makes small cracks, areas of decay and gum disease much easier to see.

By viewing the highly magnified photos on a colour monitor screen both the patient and the dental team are able to examine the patient’s mouth at the same time. We have found the response to our camera’s photos has been overwhelming. Our patients now have a better understanding of what is happening in their mouths and why recommended treatment is necessary.

Individual photos can be frozen to the monitor screen and printed for future reference. Photos can be forwarded to third party insurance carriers to enable patients to maximize their dental benefits.
